What a September it was! My husband Joe and I took off for a little 15-day trip to London and Scotland. London was lovely, but Scotland was SPECTACULAR! We were lucky enough to be in the UK before and after Scotland’s vote for independence. What a thrill. We spent a few days in London seeing the sights and then took the train from King’s Cross up to Waverly station in romantic Edinburgh. From there my very, brave, very “ambidextrous” husband drove our rental car over 600 hundred miles. Steering wheel on the right, car on the left. See why he’s ambidextrous? The secondary roads offered amazing scenery, but were dangerously winding and narrow. It didn’t help that the Scots drive just like you might expect… fast and fearlessly.
I have a new found love for whisky.
